The Challenge: Fast Deployment with Stable Operations

As SotaTek expanded its service offerings and operational scale, the company identified an urgent need to deploy its DevOps platform - Sotabox - on the cloud quickly, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

In early 2025, the company began evaluating local cloud service providers that offered robust infrastructure, reliable technical capabilities, and the ability to work closely with its in-house engineering team throughout the deployment process. A key requirement: the entire system had to be up and running within one month, ensuring uninterrupted timelines for service rollouts to end users.

Beyond requiring a flexible and high-performance infrastructure, SotaTek also sought Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings that could shorten development cycles and ease the burden on DevOps teams. Just as critical was the need for ongoing, hands-on support from the cloud provider - a decisive factor in ensuring a smooth transition and stable operations from day one.

This foundational phase focused on building the cloud infrastructure and configuring core services including vServer, vStorage, vLB, vDB (Redis, Postgres), and Kafka - enabling the full operation of the Sotabox platform on VNG Cloud. • Phase 2: Deployment for Sotabox End Users

• Phase 3: Dataiku Testing on VNG Cloud

Expanding further, SotaTek and VNG Cloud also tested the integration of Dataiku - an AI/ML analytics platform - on the existing infrastructure. This initiative marked a strategic step toward supporting future big data projects, highlighting the flexibility and technological diversity of VNG Cloud.

Despite the tight timeline, the deployment achieved full operational readiness with excellent results - proving VNG Cloud’s technical capability and hands-on support for large-scale, time-sensitive projects.

Just one month after completing the full rollout of Sotabox - from infrastructure setup and service configuration to end-user testing - the project recorded several clear successes:
